Role Overview
The Affiliate Marketing Specialist plays a central role in developing, managing, and optimizing our affiliate program. This person is responsible for recruiting new affiliates, assessing their suitability, and monitoring their daily performance. They ensure that partners comply with internal policies by identifying and managing any violations. The specialist regularly analyzes the profitability of the program and its affiliates, while ensuring that all generated sales are legitimate and meet expectations. They are also responsible for testing various creatives and promotions to optimize overall program performance. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Review affiliate applications and approve or decline candidates for the program;
- Manage and respond to affiliate support tickets and inquiries;
- Manage affiliate relationships and activities on behalf of our clients, serving as their main point of contact to ensure alignment and success;
- Collaborate closely with clients to communicate program performance, opportunities, and optimizations;
- Research and recruit potential affiliates, implementing outreach and recruitment strategies;
- Monitor partner sales and commissions, while identifying fraudulent activities;
- Ensure partners comply with client branding guidelines and report any non-compliance;
- Upload creatives (banners, text ads, offers) to affiliate platforms;
- Track performance and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Create, maintain, and provide templates, tracking links, and new creatives for affiliates;
- Develop performance forecasts (with support from the Affiliate Marketing Practice Lead, as needed);
- Produce monthly reports and communicate improvement opportunities to the client weekly.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in affiliate marketing;
- University degree in marketing, communications, management, business, or related field;
- Experience with affiliate platforms, preferably Rakuten and Impact;
- Experience with Shopify is a plus;
- Familiarity with tools such as SEMRush;
- Knowledge of influencer marketing is an advantage;
- Strong customer service skills – our affiliates are vital to Bloom’s growth, and we aim to provide them with the best possible experience;
- Experience communicating with clients and presenting results and optimizations clearly;
- Willingness to learn and experiment with new marketing ideas;
- Experience working with complex Excel or Google Sheets files;
- High attention to detail;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to independently manage accounts;
- Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills;
- Excellent written and spoken English; French is a plus;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
